Happily back in the groove
A couple days ago, I arrived at national team camp in Rome. It is so nice to be back with the team. Since I left, about three weeks ago, it is evident a lot of work has been done. The team looks very sharp and fit and on the road to being at 100 percent by June 26th and our opening game of the World Cup.
It is also nice to be back in Rome. It is such a beautiful city and there is always something new to see.
Our last couple practices have been focused on our preparations for our upcoming exhibition games here in Europe. I think our coaches know how hard the team has been working on the field and have tried to spice things up during our downtime. On Sunday they took us to the ATP tennis tournament that is held here in Rome every year. We were able to watch some great tennis, something not many of us had witnessed before.
