In the Pro's Questionnaire, our favorite sports figures take an abridged version of the famous personality test, the Proust Questionnaire. U.S. women's soccer team midfielder Heather O'Reilly is up. She talks about being a cereal freak, loving gadgets and wishing she could sing and dance.
What is your main fault?
Heather O'Reilly: I think I'm probably a little bit too hard on myself, and I need to just leave mistakes in the past, especially goal-scoring situations. I'm very hard on myself if I miss an opportunity in front of the net. I need to let it go and stay focused for the next one.
What is your idea of happiness?
HO: Being around loved ones and feeling fulfilled with what I'm doing.
What is your idea of misery?
HO: Feeling like I'm not reaching my potential.
If you were not able to be yourself, who would you most like to be?
HO: I think I have a pretty cool gig. I'm pretty happy with what I'm doing right now, but let's see ... for some reason Lady Gaga came to my head because she's so hip and cool right now, but I'm sure she has her issues as well.
What is your favorite food and drink?
HO: Food is definitely cereal. I'm like a cereal freak, any meal of the day. I like all the Kashi stuff, trying to fuel my body, and then I go for Frosted Flakes and all that good stuff as well. Favorite drink ... here's a plug: Gatorade.
What do you hate the most?
HO: Losing isn't fun.
What is a talent you wish you had?
HO: I guess I have to go back to Lady Gaga. I wish I could sing ... and dance. Dance might be No. 1. My rhythm is horrendous.
What is your greatest fear?
HO: Feeling like a failure in my career.
What is your greatest extravagance?
HO: Some gadgets. I just picked up an iPad the other day. I didn't really need one, but I just got one.
What is your most treasured possession?
HO: Does my fiance count? Yeah, Dave. I don't have material things I care much about.
What is your state of mind right now?
